Having worked in property for many years, I have gained experience in

Department With a good breadth and depth of experience, I am able to provide strategic property advice to organisations on how to manage and improve their property portfolio, this has included: Asset Management I produced the Asset Management Plan for a local authority, which was assessed as 'Good' by the ODPM, this led to the rationalisation of the organisations office portfolio resulting in a new-build and significant reduction in footprint with consequent savings to the revenue account, plus other benefits I have also introduced Asset Management processes to many organisations, including caputuring asset condition data and then using it to drive commercial decisions on property investment strategies. Acquisitions I identified the need to relocate a major office holding in the West End of London, and proceeded to find a suitable property, negotiate the deal, undertake the fit out and relocation projects, then releasing the existing premises back to the landlord. This increased the capacity of the office considerably, including provision of a new conference centre at a prestigious W1 address. Conversions, Repairs and Refreshment's I have undertaken many property change projects, including converting buildings from one use to another or to optimise the existing use to gain more benefits. Facilities Management Over the years I have delivered hands of FM services, then more lately led teams delivering FM services. I have successfully introduced FM systems and processes where required, such as statutory testing and inspection regimes. I have also introduced business continuity processes to investment fund management business critical environments. Building Surveying I have undertaken many surveys for things such as Asset Management, Asset Condition, DDA, Fire Safety, Security, Business Continuity, Asbestos Type 2 surveys and bulk sampling. I am able to inspect, diagnose and formulate options for defects. Landlord & Tenant I have acted as both the Landlord and the Tenants representative on many occasions, and capable of undertaking negotiations on lease matters and deal with Schedules of Repair and Dilapidation's. Health & Safety I have acted as a Health & Safety Auditor and introduced many H&S processes and procedures to ensure organisations comply with their legal obligations. I have provided in-house training courses for staff on various aspects related to H&S matters |
